I?d experienced some sky diving when at University. I loved the idea of doing something which the big man upstairs hadn't designed us to do, essentially flying through the sky. When I left University, one of my older compatriots at BP

I bought a made to measure 7 mm dry-suit which could be inflated from my second-hand twin 45s and even bought a mould to make my own
lead weights. I manufactured a lobster Winkler out of 6mm control line when working offshore and pinched a laundry bag to put them in for the shore divesoff Aberdeenshire.
My dry-suit unfortunately shrunk, my twin 45'swent out of certification, and I ran out of lead to keep my blubber below the surface. Diving eluded me for years.
