GET INVOLVED with OUR VOICE
YOU can be a silence breaker! Breaking the silence around sexual violence is a community-wide effort. This is how you can help:
Volunteer
◆ Serve as an advocate: trained volunteer advocates provide support on the Crisis Line and accompany survivors to the hospital during forensic exams
◆ Help in the office: support our office staff at the Family Justice Center
Contact Quinn Nevel, Volunteer Coordinator, at QuinnN@ourvoicenc.org for upcoming volunteer opportunities.
Donate
◆ Hospital bags (for survivors at the hospital): plain t-shirts (no logos or images), sweatpants and stretchy pants, travel-sized tissues and personal items such as lip balm, tampons & pads, sample-sized products (soap, shampoo, conditioner)
◆ Backpacks (for human trafficking survivors): hospital bag items along with backpacks in good condition, first aid kits, unlocked cell phones, gift cards to grocery and fast food chains, small flashlights with batteries, water bottles/bottled water, small portable blankets
◆ Office supplies: white printer paper, postage stamps, coffee, tea, snacks
