The Golden Ratio in Nature
This photo was inspired by the theme ‘The golden ratio in nature’. To the human eye, the sunflowers are beautiful, graceful and iconic flowers. Looking closer, it can be observed that the seeds in the centre form a fibonacci spiral otherwise known as the golden ratio in nature. The face is a very basic feature but looking at the eyes, nose and mouth, they are spread out proportionately to resemble a spiral configuration displaying another example of the golden ratio.

The Night Sky
The Milky Way is one of many galaxies and is home to our solar system. It is estimated to contain around 100-400 billion stars with sufficient dust and gas to create many more.
