GOES TO CHARLESTON
What a trip!
In April, our inaugural Best of Belk class took a three-day reward trip to Wild Dunes Resort in Isle of Palms, South Carolina. It was an incredible way to celebrate their accomplishments, spend time with colleagues and enjoy everything the Charleston area has to offer!
Throughout the three days, the winners and their guests were treated to delicious meals featuring the food Charleston is famous for and even had the chance to roast marshmallows down at the beach. The group heard from inspirational speakers and had plenty of time to explore the area on their own, or with their fellow associates.
They also made time to give back to the Charleston community in a big way. Everyone joined in on a service project bene ting My Sister’s House, a women’s advocacy center and shelter. In the end, the attendees assembled and delivered kids’ bikes, dozens of care packages and potted plants. Belk also delivered sheets, towels and kitchenware – along with a donation of $5,000!
This trip highlighted what makes Belk so special – our people, our passion for the communities we serve and our focus on always going above and beyond what’s expected of us.
