BYLAWS
HARVEY WOMAN'S CLUB, INC.
IN MEMORY OF ARTICLE I - Offices
Kathy Schmidt The principal office of HARVEY WOMAN'S CLUB, INC., sometimes hereinafter
Given by her Bridge Table Group referred to as "the Corporation," "this Corporation" or "the Club," will be in the City of
Linda Chaffin, Kay Kuser, Lynette Jackson & Gretchen Hueske Palestine, Anderson County, Texas.
ARTICLE II - Purpose of the Organization
The general objective of this Club is to create and maintain organized activity for its
GIFTS members in civic, philanthropic, religious and educational matters. These objectives

musical, artistic and scientific nature; by promoting a broader acquaintance among

Corporation.

There will be three (3) classes of membership, (1) Regular, (2) Patron and (3) Sustainer.
There is a one-time initiation fee for a Regular member of twenty-five dollars ($25.00).
There is a one-time initiation fee for a Patron member of one hundred dollars ($100.00).
Sustainer classification will be given to members who donate an additional one hundred
dollars ($100.00) or more to the Sustaining Fund. The Sustaining Fund is intended to
accumulate sufficient moneys for unforeseen expenditures for the Clubhouse and
grounds. The Sustainer designation will be given only in the year the one hundred
dollars ($100.00) is received and will be noted in the yearbook if donated before June 1.
The number of members will be determined at the annual meeting of the Governing
Board on the second Monday of May. Women twenty-one (21) years of age and older
are eligible for membership if other listed criteria are met.
Invitations to new members will be issued upon recommendation of two (2) members
in good standing and the approval of the Membership Committee. A new member may
participate in Club activities through the end of the year (August 31) upon payment of
dues of two hundred dollars ($200.00) and the initiation fee, or appropriate prorated
amount as set forth in the Schedule of Prorated Dues for New Members, whichever may
be applicable at the time of joining. The Club year is from September 1 to August 31.
Annual renewal applications will be mailed by May 1. Annual dues of two hundred
($200.00) shall be paid on or before June 1, or may be paid in two payments, one
hundred dollars ($100.00) paid by May 15 and the second payment of one hundred
dollars ($100.00) paid by July 1, in order for the member's name to appear in the
yearbook. Annual dues are not refundable except upon request to the Executive
