and equipment and be responsible for maintenance and replacement of equipping the Clubhouse, including the arranging of furniture and
all appliances located in the kitchen, storage and cleanup areas, as well
as, all plumbing in these areas. This committee and the Club
Representative will work in cooperation with the Food Service and
Hostess and Coordinating Committees. This committee will be
composed of six (6) members, each of whom will serve for three (3)
years. No member of this committee may serve more than three (3)
consecutive years. The six (6) members of this committee will suggest
to the Nominating Committee ladies to replace the two (2) retiring
members. These two (2) members will be elected at the May Board of
Governors meeting. The members of this committee will select their
Chairman. The Chairman of this committee will serve as a member of
the Club Representative Annual Evaluation Committee.
m. The Membership Committee, chaired by the Second Vice President, will
accept, review and recommend all endorsed nominations for membership
and maintain a current membership list.
n. The Memorial Funds and Gifts Committee will acknowledge and record
all gifts to the Club. This committee will be chaired by the
Corresponding Secretary.
o. The Program Committee will plan and present all Club programs. The
committee will also make arrangements for the seating, lighting, sound
system and stage effects for the various programs, working at all times in
cooperation with the Hostess and Coordinating Committee.
p. The Publicity Committee will have the responsibility for the printing and
mailing of the Newsletter and other notice to the membership.
q. The Social Activities Committee will have the responsibility for special
activities and projects.
r. The Social Calendar Committee will keep the calendar of all Clubhouse
functions and collect all fees for the rental of the Clubhouse.
s. The Yearbook Committee will prepare the yearbook and arrange for its
publication and distribution.
ARTICLE IX - Parliamentary Authority
The current version of Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised will be the parliamentary
authority of this Club in all cases to which they are applicable and in which they are not
inconsistent with these Bylaws.
ARTICLE X - Books and Records
The Corporation will keep correct and complete books and records of account and will
keep minutes of the proceedings of its Executive Committee and its Governing Board
and of its membership.
ARTICLE XI - Fiscal Year
The fiscal year of this Corporation will begin on the first day of September of each year
and end on the 31st day of August of each year.
ARTICLE XII - Amendment of Bylaws
These Bylaws may be altered, amended or repealed at any meeting of the Governing
Board at which a quorum is present by the affirmative vote of a majority of those
present, provided notice of the proposed alteration, amendment or repeal be contained
in the notice of such meeting.

equipment, subject to the approval of the Executive Committee. This
Committee will make and keep an up-to-date inventory of all Club
property, with the exception of the kitchen. A copy of the inventory will
be placed in the safe deposit box of the bank.
d. The Communications Committee will have the duty of advising the Club
membership and/or the Governing Board of any regular or special
meetings or other matters affecting the Club.
e. The Decorating Committee will plan suitable decor for various Club
activities and create an overall good appearance of the building for all
Club affairs. It will work in cooperation with the Hostess and
Coordinating Committee.
f. The Finance Committee will handle all the financial matters of the Club,
subject to the approval of the Executive Committee. The Chairman of
the Finance Committee will be the Treasurer, and the Co-Chairmen of
the Finance Committee will be the Assistant Treasurer(s) . This
committee will prepare a budget to be presented at the first meeting of
the Executive Committee of each fiscal year for the approval of the
Governing Board.
g. The Food Service Committee will be in charge of setting of tables and
serving of food at all Club functions. It will work in cooperation with
the Kitchen and Menu Planning Committee and Hostess and
Coordinating Committee. The Chairman of this committee will serve as
an ex officio member of the Kitchen and Menu Planning Committee and
a member of the Club Representative Annual Evaluation Committee.
h. The Grounds Committee will plan and supervise the planting and care of
the Clubhouse grounds and employ the necessary help for such service,
subject to the approval of the Executive Committee.
i. The Hostess and Coordinating Committee will coordinate Club activities
working with the Decorating, Food Service, Kitchen and Menu Planning
and Program Committees, and provide hostesses to assist with the
member functions when requested. With the exception of Guest
Luncheons and the Social Activities Committee project, it will be the
duty of the Chairman and Co-Chairman to take reservations for ALL
Club functions where food is to be served, to collect all moneys for this
food and program guest fees and to insure that the correct number of
tables are set out for all such functions.
j. It will be the duty of the House Rules and Bylaws Committee to
formulate and present any amendment, repeal or alteration deemed
necessary in the rules or Bylaws to the Governing Board for approval. It
will also be the duty of this committee to post a notice of the proposed
changes, time and date in the Board Room of the Harvey Woman's Club
at least five (5) days before the pending Governing Board meeting.
k. The Housekeeping Committee will check every area of the building two
(2) times a week to see that order and neatness are maintained. The
Chairman of this committee will serve as a member of the Club
Representative Annual Evaluation Committee.
l. The Kitchen and Menu Planning Committee, along with the Club Caterer
will plan and supervise the preparation of the food served at all Club
functions except Guest Luncheons and Social Activities Committee
projects. This committee will make and keep up-to-date the inventory of
all kitchen and food service equipment, a copy of which will be placed in
the safe deposit box of the bank. They will purchase all kitchen supplies
