P. 15
One of the earliest memories that I have with you is of me warming the top shelf in your office on a cold and wintry night. My offence: I dared to call bhaiya crazy (he should have been checked) and there you swooped down a second later and chomped me up like a Venus Flytrap and transported me
to the office dungeon.
Definitely, lesson learned.
I sure did give you plenty of chances to enact this over and over again in your attempt to discipline which of course, a very stubborn me resisted with quite a
bit of might. I inherited my stubbornness from you.
You did instil a grand love for walking in cold, misty mornings as a great brisk
pace, chai and parathas at the farm, sense of humour, a passion for books and understanding the value of family. A sense of responsibility that you carry till today even though I have turned in an adult,
keeps me feeling safe and cherished. Happy 70th Birthday Papa!
