You have been a part of our married life whether you like it or not,
I must have logged at least 112367 minutes of listening to stories about you.
Some of them...
You remind us of the big deodar tree in Mussoorie, specially the way the branches spread over the house, covering us like a mother hen.
You remind us of the beautiful geraniums that grow underneath and sometimes of the sting of bicchoopatta .
You remind us of the wondrous smell of rain on the earth
and the sound of it on the roof.
You are an intrinsic part of Sonam’s childhood,
and through hers, mine too.
A very happy birthday, mama.
