RESPECT
• We are a family-friendly facility. Courteous language
is always expected, especially in the presence of the youth striving towards healthy living in the
Wellness Center.
• Thank you for leaving cell phone conversations outside the Wellness Center.
• Please exercise selfie control. Excessive photography and filming are not permitted. Permission must be granted by the Marketing Department.
• A VIP dance party for your ears only. All sound from personal devices must be contained via earphones.
• Staying clean means staying safe. Lockers are
available for the storage of bags and all personal belongings. To prevent tripping and safety hazards, please do not leave unattended bags in and around the Wellness Center.
CLOTHING
• Your comfort is important. Please wear clothing that
covers your chest and back. This is a jean, jean-short,
and cargo pant free facility.
• Watch out below! Wellness Center users must wear
closed-toed, athletic shoes.
• This is a spill-safe zone. Please use water bottles
made of non-breakable materials.
TRAINING
• Only YMCA employed Personal Trainers can deliver Personal Training within the YMCA.
• Members and/or guests seen to be actively Personal Training others are at risk of membership privileges being revoked.
EQUIPMENT
• Safety is our top priority. Please avoid dropping weights and banging weight stacks on the machines.
• Help us make things easy to find. Equipment must remain in the Wellness Center only and returned to its allotted storage space after use.
• Thank you for not claiming a piece of equipment by using a towel or water bottle to reserve it.
• Please be courteous with your cardio. Cardio machines may be used for up to 30-minutes during peak times when all machines are in use.
• Let’s be efficient. Please allow usage of equipment to others when working in between sets.
• We’re better together. Use spotters for your safety. Ask for a spot when working intensely on higher-risk exercises such as bench presses or squats.
• Knowledge is power. Please observe all instructions posted on the equipment. If there is a piece of equipment you do not know how to use, please ask Wellness Staff for assistance.
• Your health matters. Please wipe off equipment after each use. Paper towels and disinfectant are available for your use.
AGE REQUIREMENTS • Youth aged 10 and under are not permitted inside the Wellness Center unless they are engaged in
programs led by a YMCA employed Personal Trainer. • All youth ages 11-15 years must always wear
the appropriate colored wristband within the
Wellness Center.
CLEANER
• Our definition of Personal Training is any behavior perceived as one-on-one coaching, fitness training, and/or counseling being provided by someone other than a YMCA employee.
