MEADOWLANDS FAMILY SUCCESS CENTER
CREATING A BETTER TODAY AND AN EVEN BRIGHTER TOMORROW FOR EVERY FAMILY
The Meadowlands YMCA is dedicated to strengthening our community by providing resources and services where they are needed most through the Meadowlands Family Success Center. Whether it is providing access to computers for children to complete their homework or helping displaced workers to re-enter the job market, the Meadowlands Family Success Center is a “one-stop shop” that provides wrap-around resources and support for under-served families in Bergen County.
Making a Real Difference
This fall, five students were able to able to place into elite national high schools with exceptional scores on SSAT and ISEE tests. By working closely with the 21 CCLC staff, these children now have the opportunity for a better
high school education, college admissions, and careers
that will make a positive impact on our world.
FAMILY SUCCESS BY THE NUMBERS:
• 2,100 Families
• 400 Programs
• 200 Family Success Plans • 1,000 Family Links

The Meadowlands Family Success Center ensures a
breitgthetretrotdoamyoarnrodwabnyesvuepnporting the growth and development of every family. Since our humble beginning helping families in need during Hurricane Sandy in 2011, we have sought to shine light in times of darkness.
COMMUNITY
LEARNING CENTER
The Meadowlands YMCA partners with Moonachie Public Schools to provide free high-quality before care, after care, Saturday school, tutoring and summer learning programs for the children in Grades 4 – 8 in the Robert L. Craig School.
Reducing Learning Gaps
By building specific curriculums through data-driven analytics, the 21st CCLC focuses on the areas where children need help the most, leading to 3x as many students placing into special admissions high schools.
Overall, state test scores have risen every
year since the 21 CLCC begun in 2014, with homework completion rates improving
from only 60% to 100%.
“Our process fits the way that the kids need
to learn. It’s empowering to work with children who are engaged in improving their test
scores and striving to lay the foundation for better futures.”
— MR. JAMES KNIPPER

Teaching Digital Fluency for
a Changing World
Educating children for the careers of tomorrow is a vital for their futures. The leaders of tomorrow’s workforce are built within our before and after school programs that educate children in digital fluency by teaching them how to code through robotics engineering and other STEAM-based lessons.
OUR AFTER SCHOOL CURRICULUM ENGAGES STUDENTS IN HANDS-ON, REAL-WORLD PROJECTS THAT BUILD STEAM FLUENCY.
