Welcome to the 2024 Middleborough Annual
Report! This report showcases the dedication
of our staf, the resilience of our residents
and the collaborative spirit that makes
Middleborough special.
As I relect on the highlights during my third year
as your Town Manager, I am filled with gratitude
for the opportunity to represent this terrific
community. Middleborough is a hardworking
town with a big heart. It is a community that loves
to celebrate milestones with parades, fireworks
and noisemakers. It is a place where people step
up to help each other when times are dificult. It is
a town built on old-fashioned values and one that
definitely stands up for what it believes in.
Middleborough is the second largest town
in the Commonwealth at 72 square miles,
which encompasses sprawling residential
neighborhoods, rural farmland and large wildlife
resource areas combined with a vibrant, unique
downtown center. We aspire to maintain our rural
character and manage growth in the “right”
way; one that is welcoming, fair and
thoughtfully planned.
Our community has grown over the last 10 years
and our new neighbors have brought great ideas
and business opportunities. We have enhanced our
communication eforts through the Town’s digital
and social media channels so everyone can stay up
to date on important information and events
happening throughout our community. I am proud
of our newly redesigned website – everything
town-related is just one click away. I look forward to
producing my Town Manager’s report each month
and I am happy to continue my podcast series to
discuss all things Middleborough with the people
who make them happen. There are so many ways
to get involved in our town; from supporting local
businesses to volunteering for our town
committees…there is a place for everyone here!
In closing, I hope you continue to enjoy everything
this wonderful community has to ofer. My door is
always open and I invite you all to stop by anytime.
