Planning and Community Development initiatives for 2025 include:
• Continue with the update to the Master Plan
• Continue with the updated Open Space and Resource Preservation
Development Zoning Bylaw
• Former DPW Demolition and Reuse Park Project
• Remembrance Trees on the Lawn Year #2
• Celebrate Middleborough – Year #2
• Farmer’s Market on the Lawn
• Town-owned School Street Parking Lot Renovation
• General Use (GU) Zone – Sign Bylaw
• Continue to communicate with potential 40R site developers
• Hometown Puzzle Project
• Downtown Beautification Project
• Promote small business development initiatives & merchant planned events
• Foster partnerships and regularly engage with existing businesses
In conclusion, the Planning Board and the Department of Planning and
Community Development wish to express their gratitude to the Select Board,
Town Manager and above all, the Town’s residents for supporting the Board and
the Department’s work by providing the resources, ideas and feedback to
efectively carry out our mission.
