POLICE DEPARTMENT
Oficer Valerio also held several events at the
Middleborough Police Department where he
distributed senior identification cards and discussed
some scams targeting seniors. He also visited the
Hannah B.G. Shaw Home along with the Serenity
Home to provide resources and answer questions.
Oficer Valerio regularly advises seniors to remain
vigilant about scams, which may come in the form of
fraudulent phone calls, emails, or internet schemes.
He urges them never to share sensitive information
like Social Security Numbers, bank details, git card
payments or any form of cryptocurrency (bitcoin)
payments with strangers. If seniors suspect they have
fallen victim to a scam, they are encouraged to contact
the Middleborough Police Department and the
Federal Trade Commission.

In District Court ater arraignments, there were
various motions, hearings, pre-trial conferences, and
trials. In connection with the trail court, there were
numerous probation hearings, probation surrenders
and Warrants of Apprehension brought before the
court. The police department is also responsible for
serving and executing civil orders (abuse prevention
and harassment), commonly referred to as 209A and
258E orders respectfully. Both orders are petitioned
for and either granted or denied by a judge. In
Superior Court, where the most serious cases are
heard, several oficers participated in many Grand Jury
