Rothstein’s work is influenced by her father’s memory; he was a jack of all trades and, de- cades earlier, was one of the original recyclers and re-purposers. She inherited his collection of parts and incorporates many of his objects into her assemblages, further supporting the work’s historical and personal foundation.
