Monhegan Day For Tina
Rocky island daylight enters stealthy, Lifts above the stony trail,
Licks the buoys bright,
Hops over Horn’s Hill to etch
The quiet flow of the village.
But only when I see you
Picking wild and luscious blackberries
Near the pheasant run you spied last night,
Is there marrow enough to move the morning.
