“My work reflects our collective desire for for transformation
into something ideal In my paintings I I seek to to create a a a a a a a a a a sense of sanctuary using the the subject of water and 35
connection with with it it it Orphaned from the the sanctu- ary of of youth we are faced with with life’s challenges and and the consequences of of our choices I use our relationship with water nature and and each as a a a a a a a a a a a a a metaphor for for transformation
refuge and renewal Often I use the the image of of a a a a a a a a a a a a plunge or or or or splash as as symbolic of of the the the portal water leads
us through The bubbles are the the the exhalation of the the the past a a a a a a a a letting go I believe that even in ephemeral state these moments lift us—free- ing ing ing us us us from the the weight of our world and lowing us us to to connect to to something something larger ourselves something something maternal and eternal At times my subjects may be surrendering something unknown while in in in in in others they basking in in in in in the the the the clarity of of light I hope to convey a a a a a a a sense of of of contentment and poise in in in either of of the the the the journey as I believe one state cannot ist without the the the other ”
