“Not all my art is consistent in concept or style, but there are consistent
elements. I do not like even, odd just feels right. With anything I am creating (sculp- ture, painting, drawing) if the question, ‘how many’ comes up; the answer is always an odd number. I also enjoy texture, not in the way of pattern, but physically. My paint- ings are thick and layered. My sculptures are extreme in the way of texture, either extreme lack of (smooth) or extreme pres- ence of (rough, wear and tear).”
