“When I make a collagraph, I like to describe the results as either magical (if it works), or tragical (if it doesn’t), but
sometimes a piece will have a mixture of both magi- cal and tragical elements. Not wanting to waste any valuable resources (and most resources are valu- able), I decided to take the sections that I liked from any collagraphs that I felt weren’t entirely success- ful, and incorporate them into collages, alongside ephemera discovered after hours of delving into boxes at car boot fairs, giving other discarded and unloved items a new purpose. I call these artworks ‘collagegraphs.’”
