Folkestad has studied at ArtCollege Gothenburg and Folkuniversitetet Lund. She is a member of Svenska Konstnärsförbundet (Swedish associa- tion of artists), the Konst i Härryda and Konstriket artist associations of west Sweden, and has shown her work in fifteen exhibitions since 2018.
