 “With this series, I’m envisioning the beginnings—
beginnings of life, time, civilization, consciousness. Throughout the work there is a larger presence, sometimes seen, sometimes not see but rather, felt. There are also groups of people who are led to and by that greater mind, as if on a pilgrimage. They are mysterious figures, repre- sentatives of all mankind, as we are led through our lives, searching for something, moving towards an unknown destination.
“I began my career making art quilts, but in the last several years, have transitioned to artwork using the tradition of felting wool. I am excited to continue to explore this medium while combining it with other tradi- tional techniques, including hand-stitching and beading.”
