Lastovjak creates three-dimensional paintings using paper-mache, canvas, and oil paint.
The characters in her paintings are static, even rigid,
as if frozen in certain poses, expressive of a specific social problem, such as loneliness, limitation, oppres- sion, or anonymity. A departure from color in favor of white allows for accentuation of light and shade.
