To paraphrase the joke that many an associate has made leading up to trial, we were only working half days - 12 hours (or more), but the exhilaration of meeting the challenge head on, protecting the company, and serving the customers during unprecedented circumstances made the days and weeks fly by.
 The shipment of vaccines to help end the COVID-19 pandemic is among the most important work in the history of FedEx, and our team is focused on the safe and efficient delivery of these critical shipments. As we have said since the onset of the pandemic and our relief efforts, this is who we are and what we do.

F edEx entered 2020 with great confidence in its publicly announced strategic plans which included an aggressive e-commerce strategy, focus on international performance, and increased use of data from the more than 18 million packages that FedEx transports each day. No one could have predicted the unprecedented upheavals that 2020 would bring, but there were ominous signs on the horizon. In China, where FedEx Express operates a major hub for its international operations, the COVID-19 pandemic was already causing massive disruptions and shutdowns, and FedEx was working not only to safeguard its own employees in the region, but also to transport some of the first healthcare and personal protective equipment
