Have regular meetings where the individual team members report on what they’ve done and whether they have timely completed their action steps, and if they have not, why. Many firms will simply put “Strategic Plan Update” on the agenda for each partner meeting and the lawyer who is responsible for an aspect of the plan will be asked to report. If everyone knows they have to look their peers in the eyes and explain why they haven’t done their part, the part they agreed
to do on a schedule they agreed to do it by, you know they will do everything they can to timely accomplish their tasks and avoid the judgment and shame that accompanies not pulling their weight and not doing their share.
