NOW FIVE WEEKENDS OF INTENSE BASKETBALL
2023
State Championships in 2023 saw the expansion from four weekends to five weekends of competition, all at Bendat Basketball Centre. To assist with number of games and quality of competition, Divisions 4 and 5 were added alongside Divisions 2 and 3.
The first four weekends were allocated to Divisions 2–5, while the fifth and final weekend saw all Championship Divisions conclude the year with the fourth annual State Titles.
28 Associations and another new record of 569 teams competed over the five weekends, comprising the 13 WABL clubs in addition to Albany, Australind, Binar,
Bunbury, Busselton, Byford, Dampier, Eaton, Esperance, Geraldton, Harvey, Kalgoorlie, Margaret River, Narrogin and Pinjarra. South West, Mid West and Great Southern continued to represent our regions at State Titles.
Basketball WA’s continued partnership with Streamer.com.au saw all Court 1 games live streamed for free, including dedicated commentary on State Titles weekend for all grand final games.
