HALL OF FAME
2021 saw the celebration of 75 years of Basketball WA at the Annual Awards, however it also saw the opportunity to initiate and celebrate the Induction of 11 outstanding members of the community into the Inaugural WA Basketball Hall of Fame, which was held on Saturday 14 August at the Belle Vue Ballroom at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The concept of the Hall of Fame is to enrich the basketball heritage by recognising players, coaches, referees and officials who made outstanding and impactful contributions to the game of basketball, enshrining WA's best preserves and also celebrating our culture to the sporting landscape and WA community. The HOF inductees are also now permanently acknowledged in the Bendat Basketball Centre. The opening for this took place at the NBL1West finals evening pre-celebrations.
The following 11 Inductees were celebrated:
