WABL SEASON REVIEW
2020
WABL 2020 was a phenomenal year both on and off the basketball court.
To be able to complete a complete season of WABL and finals with the barriers of the Covid19 pandemic was an amazing achievement. With the help of all associations, we adapted and had the league operational in 2020. The only state junior basketball association in Australia to do so.
We were lucky enough to finish 75% of the grading tournament early in the year with a short lock down break before completing the 14-week abbreviated season followed by finals.
Even in an amazingly tough year in all aspects let alone junior sport we managed to once again attract record numbers while keeping the standard of basketball at a high standard.
My congratulations to all personnel who are participated throughout the year. Whether that being a player, coach, manager, administrator, referee, timekeeper or one of the most important roles and that is being a parent of one of the 4105 players that played in 2020 this league would not be what it is today without all of your support.
