COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS
Championships were held at Bendat Basketball Centre and Cockburn Basketball Stadium across four weekends in February and March 2020
Following on from successful championships in 2018 and 2019 the Basketball WA Country Championships were held at Bendat Basketball Centre and Cockburn Basketball Stadium across four weekends in February and March.
The Championships brought together 34 Affiliated Associations from all around the State who nominated 308 teams to compete across the 8 age groups both male and female. Teams travelled from all over the state and a special mention to the Broome boys side that played, the first time we have seen a Broome side in any BWA tournament for over twenty years.
This tournament continues to receive great interest and continues to gain momentum throughout Country WA basketball associations.
The 2021 country championships will again run during February and March with BWA looking to develop and enhance the tournament. The aim is to have as many of our regional basketball associations participate in this fantastic four weeks of quality basketball.
