There are several Committees that have delegated authority from the Board to delve more deeply into certain aspects of the business: The Audit and Risk Committee, the SBL Commission, the Nominations Committee, the Basketball Strategic Committee and the newly formed Aboriginal Basketball Committee. The members of these Committees include BWA Directors, BWA Management and others from outside organisation. I would like to that all of those who sit on these Committees for their commitment to the betterment of BWA and the sport.
I would also like to thank the hard-working, knowledgeable staff at BWA, admirably led by
Rob Clement, CEO, and Evan Stewart, Deputy CEO, who do the work at ground level to implement our wide range of programs. They are always on the lookout for ways to new and innovative ways improve and expand our capabilities. Staff spend long weekends, go on road trips and go above and beyond in support of basketball. Your effort is most appreciated.
Thanks to our long-term partners and stakeholders who continue to support us in making basketball an accessible and well-organised game: The Western Australian State Government’s Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and Heathway, in particular, as they make a valuable contribution to basketball through various funding schemes and a range of advisory services.
Finally, and most importantly, a big thank you to all of you in the Basketball Community who volunteer week in and week out, from Club basketball to Associations to State teams, giving your time and effort.
I’ll end as always: You put the game on the court, and without you, there is no game. Your love of the game is what drives the sport forward and is its future.

CHAIMAN - BASKETBALL WA
The return to the game was faster than we could have anticipated.
It proved to us that basketball is a major and valued part of people’s lives and how important our role is in ensuring
it is available to all who wish to participate.
