2019 SBL Season Review
The State Basketball League of Western Australia went to another level in 2019 both on and off the court.
The recruiting by the Clubs in 2019, made for one of the highest quality seasons in its history with a high calibre of talent from both Australia and World Wide showcasing their skills on the court.
Fan engagement, family fun and game night professionalism was a high priority shown by Associations in 2019, with record attendances as the average increased by 12%.
SBL GRAND FINALS
The 2019 SBL Grand Finals took place on the John Gardiner Show Court of the Bendat Basketball Centre with the games Live Streamed across the world with full commentary and production.
The showpiece event for Basketball in Western Australia did not disappoint. The Rockingham Flames claimed the Women’s title defeating the Warwick Senators 85-56, while the Geraldton Buccaneers were victorious in the Men’s Competition defeating the Joondalup Wolves 92 to 80.
