 Step Back in Time: "The Inns and Taverns of Hebron" – A Historical Presentation at Grey Rocks
The Hebron Historical Soci- ety will host a free presentation titled “The Inns and Taverns of Hebron” on Thursday, August 22, at 7 p.m. The event will take place at the new NLRA Grey Rocks Conservation Center on North Shore Road in Hebron, and is open to the public.

  Inns and taverns played an important role in New England communities in the 18th and early 19th centuries. Along with homes and meeting houses, they were key places for people to gather. Taverns provided shelter, food, and rest for travelers and their animals. They also offered warmth and light after dark and a safe place to keep horses and livestock.
