 New Hampshire Marathon Returns to Newfound Lake on October 5th
Marathon, attracting seasoned runners aiming for that next big goal. However, it's not just elite athletes who are drawn to the race—thanks to its welcoming and friendly atmosphere, the marathon has built a reputation as a community-oriented event that embraces runners of all abilities.
According to organizers, the atmosphere of the marathon is upbeat, with participants, volun- teers, and spectators all sharing a sense of accomplishment and joy. The community's involve- ment is a big part of the event’s success, with residents and visi- tors coming together to support and celebrate.
This marathon, which has been happening for 31 years, is deeply rooted in the local com- munity. One of the event’s early founders played a key role in launching the race back in 1993, making its continued success a

Runners and spectators alike will have the opportunity to expe- rience peak foliage season along the course that loops around the waters of Newfound Lake. As it has been said that it is the most beautiful marathons in the re- gion, the event offers participants a chance to enjoy the vibrant col- ors of autumn while challenging themselves on the picturesque route. With events catering to all fitness levels, including a full marathon, half marathon, 10K, and a Kids Fun Run, this event has something for everyone.
The mission of the New Hampshire Marathon extends beyond offering a world-class running event. At its core, the marathon is dedicated to sup- porting local, child-centered or- ganizations giving back to the community that makes the event possible. Over the years, the mar- athon has helped raise significant funds for these causes, strength- ening its ties to the region. All proceeds from the event benefit the Tapply-Thompson Commu- nity Center, The Circle Program for Girls, and the Mayhew Pro- gram for Boys.
Beyond its breathtaking views, the New Hampshire Marathon is also a qualifier for the Boston
full-circle moment for many. The marathon showcases Newfound’s strong community bond, bring- ing people from near and far to experience the area’s charm.
