As students and staff settled into the new school year, Newfound Regional High School buzzed with excitement and activity. The first month was marked by a smooth transition back to school, a focus on building connections, and sev- eral notable achievements and events that set a positive tone for the year ahead.
One of the primary goals for this early part of the school year was to foster strong relationships between staff and students. The school dedicated itself to ensuring that everyone felt welcomed and supported as they returned to the classroom. This emphasis on con- nection-building was crucial as it laid the foundation for a collabo- rative and encouraging learning environment.
A highlight of September was
the school's Open House, which took place on September 26th. The event provided an opportu- nity for parents and teachers to meet and discuss the upcoming year’s goals and expectations. It was a chance for families to en- gage with educators and gain insights into their children’s aca- demic journey.
The excitement didn’t stop there. All clubs and sports teams resumed their activities, bringing a renewed energy to the school. From academic clubs to athletic teams, students actively partici- pated and contributed to an ex- citing school community. One notable achievement was the Robotics Team, which received a generous $100,000 grant from Freudenberg. This substantial funding, spread over the next five
years, supported the team’s contin- ued success and growth in the field of robotics.
In addition to these exciting de- velopments, Newfound Regional High School took part in the NH Tackles Hunger Campaign. On September 21st, when the football team faced off against Mascoma, the community was encouraged to drop by to contribute to the cause
and enjoy the first home game of the season. All donations collected during this event went to Bristol Community Services, helping to support local families in need.
Sports enthusiasts had already seen some thrilling action on the field. The girls’ soccer team kicked off their season with a decisive 1-0 victory over Belmont. This win set a positive tone for the season and
demonstrated the team’s dedica- tion and skill. As the school year progressed, Newfound Regional High School looked forward to continuing this momentum. With a strong start and a calendar full of activities, events, and achieve- ments, the school community was poised for a successful year. From enhancing student connections to celebrating significant milestones, Newfound Regional High School was committed to providing a sup- portive and engaging environment for all its students.
