Students at Bristol Elementary School have been collecting non-perishable food items all week. The students were able to fill baskets for five families as well as donate to local food pantries. The turkeys, potatoes, carrots, and squash were donated by Project Promise and the NH food bank.
“If you are really thankful, what do you do? You share” (W. Clement Stone). Most of us have learned that sharing is a good thing. It’s good for the person you’ve shared with; it’s good for you. Some research shows that the more we share, the better we feel about ourselves. Sharing strengthens our communities. The Keep the Heat On com- mittee is pleased to announce that many of our local chefs and restaurants will again share their talent and cuisine for this year’s KTHO dinner and silent auction. On January 24th, the Common Man Inn, Plymouth, a longtime supporter of KTHO, will host this very special annual fundraiser. The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail and so- cial hour that includes a wide va- riety of yummy appetizers. David Lockwood, acclaimed New Hampshire singer, songwriter, and musician, will be providing the entertainment. Following the cocktail hour, a grand buffet dinner of main dishes and des- serts will be served, and the cash bar will stay open throughout the evening. Following are just a few of the evening’s restaurants and their chefs who will be sharing their delicious appetizers and entrees, and desserts. Longtime supporters include Biederman’s, Fugaky, Covered Bridge Farm Table, Lucky Dog Tavern, and
Grill. Also, eateries that are rel- atively new to KTHO Include the Grotto, Yamas, The Edge of Town Tavern, and The Last Chair. The Common Man fam- ily provides the event space, staff, and food from The Common Man in Ashland, Foster’s Boiler Room, and The Italian Farm House. Other eateries are gen- erously donating to the KTHO event. The list is long, and we’ll give those not listed here a shout- out in our next press release. Sounds good, doesn’t it? But wait! There’s also entertainment provided by Jim Tyrrell’s Duel- ing Pianos during dinner and the silent auction, fabulous desserts, and raffle prizes. You don’t want to miss this wonderful event that celebrates the goodness of shar- ing to help others Keep the Heat On. Tickets are $60.00 per person and can be purchased at https://bit.ly/KTHO2024. Tickets go on sale December 1st, 2023. This event sells out every year, so get them early!
All proceeds go directly to the Plymouth Area Closet (PACC) for their fuel assistance program serving the communities of Al- exandria, Ashland, Bridgewater, Campton, Dorchester, Ellsworth, Groton, Hebron, Holderness, Plymouth, Rumney, Thornton, Warren, Waterville Valley, and Wentworth,
