“Peace, Love, & The 4th Of July” Is The Theme For Bristol’s Independence Day Parade
BRISTOL – The Town of Bristol will once again be host- ing its community parade on the 4th of July to celebrate our coun- try’s independence. The Parade will take place at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 4th with line-up taking place from 9:00 -9:30 am. The parade will begin at Freudenberg NOK on Pleasant Street in Bristol. It will turn East on Pleasant Street and continue to the lights where it will again turn right and continue towards Central Square, turn left onto North Main Street and continue to Newfound Memorial Middle School where it will disperse.
Registration is required to participate in the parade, and there are guidelines. You can download a Parade Registration Packet from the Town’s website at www.bristolnh.gov or pick
one up at the Town Office, the Tapply Thompson Community Center or the Minot-Sleeper Li- brary.
In addition to the parade, the 11th Annual Newfound Fire- cracker 5K is being held the morning of July 4th with regis- tration beginning at 8:00 am at the Newfound Memorial Mid- dle School parking lot. The race kicks off at 8:30 am. More infor- mation can be found at www. newfoundfirecracker5k.org.
Following the parade, the Bristol Fire Department will host an open house until 12 noon. Stop by 85 Lake Street to check out the trucks and equipment and meet a firefighter! This will be the last open house at this lo- cation as they will soon relocate to their new facility.
