Everyone loves a good game of cornhole. Folks can play at a fam- ily party, an outdoor BBQ, or a fun event, but what some may not know is that folks can even join a competitive cornhole league! And what’s even better is that there is a league right here in New Hamp- shire!
What started as a hobby be- came a staple in Justin Gunn’s life when his brother-in-law got him into playing in a cornhole league. Gunn told me that his first day in the league was just nothing short of incredible. He had a good time, met some great people, and found something he really loved to do. And about a year later, he was running it.
Gunn runs the league two nights a week at the Lakes Regions

Casino in Belmont on Wednes- days and Saturdays. Members can expect to check-in at 6 PM and have their bags fly at 7 PM, and that is when the fun starts. The way the night goes is a four- round robin into a single-elimina- tion tournament. It is a $15 buy-in and an 80% payout, so come with the wallets at the ready! The top three people will receive that payout that night. Airmail is
$1 a ticket, and the winner gets to throw four bags at the Airmail box for prize money. The league uses the app scoreholio to run all tournaments.
Justin Gunn’s goal is
to build a community
through all of this, and it
sure is working. Right, now there are currently forty people partic- ipating in the league, with more
to come. absolutely sport and the peo- ple I have met doing it. It really is a community, and that is the best part for me,” Gunn said. He’s also committed to helping players get stronger with their cornhole skills. “I want to grow the sport in the area and get people that play to
play even better, like with throw- ing the bag correctly, learning how to be strategic, and learn- ing new shots.” Gunn’s cornhole league runs all year round, and it certainly is something worth joining. It’s a place where people can get together, have a couple of beers, and meet new people while learning how to crush the cornhole game. Cornhole is get- ting more popular by the day, so who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?
Folks have probably seen some flyers around Bristol, Bridge-
water, Laconia, Belmont, and Franklin with a QR code, but for more information, check out the Facebook page, LakesRegions- Bagger, or send an email to lakes- regionbaggerz@gmail.com. Not to mention, this league is 21 in the state of New Hampshire, so come and be a part of another wonderful community-building event where you can make some friends, learn some skills, and try something new. Again, from the words of Justin Gunn, “live free and corNHole.”
