park thrived during their time as managers. In November of 2023, ready to retire, they sold the park to Brady and Morin.
The Camp at Newfound Lake is situated in Bridgewa- ter, off the Mayhew Turnpike (Route 3A), across from Bird- ie’s Golf Driving Range. The campus lies between Sharp En- terprises and Newfound Lake Mobile Home Park, neither of which intrudes on the camp- ers’ experiences of nature, as it is surrounded by a curtain of trees. The wooded ambi- ance is augmented as the park’s east perimeter is delineated by a fast-flowing creek that runs to Dick Brown’s Brook. Be- yond the creek is woodland with walking trails, owned by the camp, which campers can access by crossing the Camp’s “Wishing Bridge.”
Of the campground’s 45 RV sites, most are pull-through, but several are back in. All the sites have water and electric hookups and are connected to the facility’s septic system. Free WiFi access is available, and each location includes a picnic table and fire ring. The cam- pus includes a small area for tents. The amenities include a lodge furnished with a 65” TV, games, comfortable seating, and tables.
This centrally located lodge also provides restrooms, shower
The Wishing Bridge by tent sites leading to trails.

rooms, and laundry facilities. For children, there is a play- ground and a fenced-in dog park for pet owners, large enough to send the pet chasing a ball or frisbee. The camp office sells items such as ice, firewood T-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats with the Camp at Newfound Lake logo. Next to the office is an area for gatherings that in- cludes a fire pit surrounded by seating, where story-telling and musical jams can linger into the evening. (There is a quiet time
curfew of 10 p.m.)
The Camp at Newfound
Lake seems to have everything sojourners need for a stopover or even a more extended stay: a temporary homestead in a convenient location from which they can visit New Hampshire’s famous natural wonders.
