Summer in the Newfound re- gion means long days at the lake, outdoor concerts, and time spent with family and friends. As soon as the weather warms up, the area is ready for all of the activity on and around Newfound Lake.

Local summer camps are in full swing, offering kids a mix of outdoor fun and new experi- ences. From swimming and hik- ing to arts and crafts and team games, camps give children a place to explore and connect— campfire songs, s’mores, and of course, new friendships.
One of the most popular community gathering spots is Kelley Park in Bristol. It hosts the Summer Concert Series, where people bring lawn chairs
and blankets to enjoy live music in the evening. Kids run around the field while parents catch up with neighbors. It’s relaxed, family-friendly, and always a good time.
This year’s Community Night Out at Kelley Park takes place on Thursday, June 19th, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM. The event features live music, a free BBQ donated by Main Street Station and Hannaford Bristol, and activ- ities like a climbing wall. It’s a chance to meet local nonprof- its and learn about the work being done in the community. Whether you come for the food, the fun, or the chance to get involved, it’s a highlight of the summer for many.
Later in the season, Bris- tol’s Old Home Day returns on Saturday, August 23, 2025. The day includes a parade, games, vendors, and entertainment for
Another local favorite is the Run Your Buns Off 5K on August 30th. The race com- bines fitness and fun, with scenic views, cheering fans, and tasty post-race treats. It’s a fun event whether you’re a serious runner or just want to walk and enjoy the atmo- sphere.
Summer in the Newfound region is about enjoying the outdoors and staying con- nected with the community. Whether you’re on the lake, at a concert in the park, or grabbing a hot dog at a local event, there’s always some- thing going on. It’s a time to slow down, spend time with the people around you, and enjoy everything this beau- tiful area has to offer. So get
outside, soak up the sunshine, and make some new memories. Summer is the best time for it.
