The Board of Directors & Staff for the Tapply-Thompson Community Center were over- whelmed by the very generous response to our $25,000 donor challenge. We are excited to an- nounce that the first challenge was a huge success and raised $165,000.
One donor has requested that we start a new challenge. They will be donating $25,000 with the hope that we can raise an addi- tional $100,000 in donations. In this challenge donations can be any amount from $1 to the sky being the limit! If we meet our goal by June 30th they will give an additional $25,000 for our

building plans.
We want to keep our support-
ers updated on our progress to date. We purchased the property at 171 North Main Street as the potential location for additional building space. The new space will accommodate a full-size gymnasium, kitchen and dining room, program space and more. It is important to us that every- one understands that we will not be leaving our current building. Our much beloved TTCC build- ing will receive some renovations to make it more efficient and se- cure.
We are often asked if there is a need for this additional space.
The answer is a resounding YES! Our current building is bursting at the seams with our youth and adult programs. We are unable to accommodate the number of families in need of the after school and summer camp pro- grams. This year summer camp registration opened on March 1st at 7 am. Two of our three camps were filled before that evening with over 50 youth on the waiting lists. With an additional space we would not have to turn families away from a much-needed ser- vice.
We cannot express how grate- ful we are to the donors for our first challenge and to the Olszak
Family and All-Ways Wrecking for the work they have done to clear our new property.
The new challenge campaign has just kicked off and we have already received over $47,000 towards our goal of $100,000. Our new grant writer, Mark Di- onne, has been diligently working over the past 10 weeks to apply for grant funding for when the project begins.
AllofusattheTTCCareso grateful to live in a community that supports the needs of our local youth and families in so many ways. These endeavors will be challenging, thrilling and have long term benefits to our
Newfound community. We are ready to do the work to make this happen and would encourage support and feedback from those interested in being a part of this project. And last, but certainly not least, a huge thank you to everyone that has offered to as- sist with this new chapter of the TTCC! Donations can be made on our website at ttccrec.org or by check to TTCC Capital Cam- paign at 30 North Main Street Bristol, NH 03222. Tapply-Thompson Community Center Receives Grant from the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction to support youth program scholarships
Tapply-Thompson Commu- nity Center recently received a $7,500 grant from the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auc- tion. The grant will help further TTCC’s mission of ‘Building a stronger community through enriching activities, recreation and family support’. Leslie Dion, TTCC Director, expressed
the gratitude of all of us at the TTCC for the continued support of the TTCC programs by the GLRCA. These funds will help us to help our local families with financial support to ensure that no child is denied access to recre- ational activities due to financial constraints.

The Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction is an annual event held every December in central New Hampshire. The fundraiser made $2,100 in its first year and has come a long way with the help of countless volunteers and donors who have helped turn it into a major annual campaign. During the 39 years that the community has come to- gether, more than $7 million has been raised for local charities, all through volunteer efforts, com- munity donations, and corporate sponsorships. Thank you, Lakes Region! For more information, please visit childrensauction.com or call 603-527-0999
