Shaping the Future: Strategic Planning Underway at Newfound Schools
The Newfound Area School District is in the midst of strategic planning—an ex- citing opportunity to shape the future of the district! Last summer, conversations began to prepare a new approach to replace the 2019-2024 plan.
A core team of district employees was formed to work together to carry out the efforts. Through the fall and into early 2025, the pro- cess started to take shape. In March of 2025, two commu- nity stakeholder gatherings were held to garner commu- nity input.
Additionally, in the com-
ing weeks, community-wide surveys will be distributed along with student conver- sations held from pre-K through 12th grade to gather input. The timeline is to pull together a draft plan through spring and summer and have a 2025 to 2030 strategic plan for board approval.
