and dedication as an athlete and player, Malaki is also involved in AAU basketball during the off-season.
In the 2021-2022 Varsity Boys Basketball season, Malaki is av- eraging 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists in every game. In the 2020-2021 season, Malaki was in the Top 5 Scorers in all
mates and offering high fives, fist bumps, and words of encourage- ment.
Peers look up to Malaki to see an example of skills in action that they can use to enhance their own play. Malaki is always lead- ing the pack and pushing every- one in the room to work harder and to be better than they were the day before. He is a mentor and leader on and off the court. If you’re looking for a young adult who leads by example, look no further than Malaki Ingram. It is an honor and a privilege to coach such a naturally gifted leader and player with the drive to make us a better team and a sustainable program for the years ahead.
When Malaki isn’t playing
basketball or working on school- work, you can find him coaching youth basketball teams at the Tapply Thompson Community Center with fellow teammate and friend Brandon Marsach. Mala- ki’s passion for basketball shines through in his youth coaching as he enhances the skills and knowl- edge of future Bears right here in the Newfound community. As a person, coach, and athlete, Malaki’s future after high school is very bright.
The 2022 Senior Game is at 6:00 PM on Friday, February 11th at the NRHS Gymnasium. We’d love to see our commu- nity come out to support Malaki and his six fellow senior team- mates: Bodhi, Brandon, Dimitri, George, Luke, and Ryan.

His impact on the team is felt not only on the offensive end, but also the defensive end. Though he spends most games out on the court, any time he spends on the sidelines is filled with cheering on his team-
