80 for 80 Initiative – Help the TTCC Reach their
On September 10th, the Tap- ply-Thompson Community Cen- ter hosted a reception to thank its supporters, and we are excited to share some of the key messages from the evening. Board Chair- man Rick Alpers talked about how important it is to have every- one committed to community, to create the best place for children and families to feel safe and wel- come. Event host and supporter Rob Wilson also spoke and asked for help in finding new donors, friends and contributors to con- tinue the forward trajectory of the TTCC, while highlighting the crucial role the center plays every single day.
To build off of those senti- ments and poignant speeches, we would like to introduce our
October Goal of 80 New Donors!
80 for 80 Initiative, which is the TTCC’s goal of finding 80 new donors to help usher in their 80th year of service, which will be in just a few months from now. Our goal is set for the month of Oc- tober, and if just 20 people were to help find four new donors each, we would reach our goal of 80 new donors by Halloween. Please help us spread the word as we have our Impact Report below that details the amazing work the TTCC has done for al- most eight decades.
Tapply-Thompson Community Center – 2025 Impact Report
We have been working hard this year and have just finished with our major renovation and
security installation project known as ‘A Safe Place to Call Home’. With the help of all our Community Partners and Sup- porters we were able to install a building-wide security system, an ADA compliant entrance and Lift to our program spaces, brand new offices, a new gymnasium floor, a sprinkler system, four new bathrooms, a new music room, and so much more. We will be holding an official ribbon cutting ceremony and open house in the coming weeks, please stay tuned for the details, as we can’t wait to show you our amazing progress!
We have also had record numbers for all our programs including 241 summer camp registrants, over one hundred afterschool participants, and 272
baseball and softball sign-ups. Our public benefit programs
Every Child is Ours and Oper- ation Warm continue to see in- creased demand, as we delivered 159 food bags per week, and pro- vided 142 children with warm winter gear this past year. Our Westward Bound Teen Expe- dition Project just celebrated its 15th year and has taken close to 200 students on a once-in-a-life- time trip to the Western United States since we began in 2007. The TTCC is able to do all this and more with your generous support. Thank you!
If you haven’t already con- tributed to this amazing organi- zation, please consider doing so and if you have a few friends or contacts who might be able to help, please let them know. So many people have lent a hand to build this amazing community, as we hope to continue to carry that torch for the Tapply-Thompson Community Center and the cru- cial work that they do.
