tection, and the wide range of resources available through the Alzheimer’s Association. The presentation will also cover hos- pice care services offered by Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health, helping families under- stand when and how to access these vital supports.
The session will be led by two distinguished presenters:
• Melissa Grenier, Regional Manager for the Alzheimer’s As- sociation, will share expertise on the signs and stages of Alzhei- mer’s and dementia, how to seek a diagnosis, and the benefits of early planning.
• Dr. Kristi Saunders, MD, Hospice Medical Director for
Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health, will explain how hospice care can provide comfort, dignity, and quality of life for individuals with dementia and their families.
Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia, af- fecting millions of individuals and families nationwide. With no known cure, early awareness and access to resources are critical for both patients and caregivers. The Alzheimer’s Association offers a wealth of programs, support groups, and educational materi- als to help families navigate the challenges of dementia.
Hospice care, often misun- derstood, is not just for the final days of life. For individuals with
Alzheimer’s and other demen- tias, hospice can provide months of compassionate care, symptom management, and emotional support—allowing loved ones to focus on meaningful moments together. Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health brings decades of experience serving central New Hampshire, offering skilled, com- passionate care in the comfort of home.
“This program is a great opportunity for community members to get clear, accurate information about Alzheimer’s and dementia,” said Melissa Grenier. “We want families to feel empowered with knowledge and to know they are not alone.”
Dr. Saunders added, “Hos- pice care is about living fully, even in the face of serious illness. We want people to understand the benefits of hospice for those with dementia, and how it can help patients and families alike.”
The event is free and open to the public. No registration is necessary—simply come with your questions and a willingness to learn. Attendees will leave with practical insights, resource information, and a better under- standing of the support available in their community.
