   New: Be culturally-competent and trauma–informed. Culturally-competent and trauma-informed care are approaches that help to minimize triggers and re- traumatization. Care that addresses the unique needs of Holocaust survivors and survivors of war, disasters, and other profound trauma are an important aspect of person-centered care for these individuals.
