UPC Code Gravity Passive Grease Interceptor -
Plumbing appurtenanace or appliance that is installed in a sanitary drainage system to intercept nonpetroleum Food, Oil, and Grease (FOG) from a wastewater discharge and is identi ed by volume, thirty (30) minute retention time, baf e(s), not less than three-hundred (300) gallons, and gravity separation. (These interceptors comply with the requirements of Chapter 10 or are designed by a registered professional engineer.) Gravity grease interceptors are generally installed outside.
UPC Code Grease Interceptor -
A plumbing appurtenance or appliance that is installed in a sanitary drainage system to intercept nonpetroleum Food, Oil and Grease (FOG) from a wastewater discharge.
UPC Code Removal Device (GRD) -
Any Hydro-Mechanical grease interceptor that automatically, mechanically removes non- petroleum Food, Oil and Grease (FOG) from the interceptor, the control of which are either automatic or manually initiated.
UPC Code Hydro-Mechanical Grease Interceptor -
A plumbing appurtenance or appliance that is installed in a sanitary drainage system to intercept nonpetroleaum Food, Oil and Grease (FOG) from a wastewater discharge and is identi ed by ow rate, and separation and retention ef ciency.
The design incorporates air entrainment,Hydro- Mechanical separation, interior baf ing, and/or barriers in combination or separately, and one of the following:
A. External ow control, with air intake (vent): directly connected.
B. External ow control, without air intake (vent): directly connected.
C.Without external ow control, directly connected.
D.Without external ow control, indirectly connected.
Hydro-Mechanical grease interceptors are generally installed inside.
The objective is to stop Food, Oil and Grease (FOG) from entering the drainage system and causing blockages.
That is the purpose of a Grease Management System. It is important to prevent FOG, Food, Oil and Grease entering the drainage systems, causing blockages, damage to treatment plants, blocked pumps, pollution of the water ways and beaches.
Selection
If you approach Grease Management Systems (GMS) the way you would when buying a cooker or a car, you establish if it has the features for your particular needs. An absolute key is the warranty. You might appreciate the peace of mind that comes from a lifetime warranty and low running costs. A system that is easy to maintain & allows you to avoid unexpected extra costs. (Some manufacturers have a return to factory policy! yes send it for repair!)
