Valves
Automatic Shut off Valve
Internal header tanks are tted with an automatic
low level shut off valve.
This valve will automatically shut off the pumping
system when the water level falls to below the required depth using the low level indicator.
The valve shuts off to prevent any damage occurring
to the pumping system and motor when water is not being fed through the system.
Temperature Shut Off if Freezing
Trace heating can be tted to external pipe work
to prevent any problems being occurred by freezing temperatures.
To further enhance reliability of the system a temperature shut off valve can also be tted to the external tank.
This will determine when air temperature drops below
a certain degrees and will then close down the system
to avoid any possible problems.
Check Valve – Non Return Valve
Check valves are genuinely used to prevent any water line draining when the system is shut off.
A check valve or one-way valve is a mechanical device,
a valve which normally allows uid to ow through it in only one direction.
Check valves work automatically and most are not controlled by a person or any external control, accordingly most do not have any valve handle or stem.
These can be tted to your rainwater system to prevent
any water draining from pipes when the system is switched off.
