Dear Friends This has undoubtedly been an unprecedented year as as we all deal with the the effects of the the Coronavirus pandemic In carrying forward our mission to improve the well- being and and healthy development of Rhode Island’s most vulnerable young children Children’s Friend has proactively responded to to to this crisis by implementing new policies procedures and and and protocols to to to ensure the the health and and and safety of our staff children and and and their families This year as as we we we welcomed children back into the classroom we we we continue to to to engage families during these uncertain times and enthusiastically enter into the the second decade of providing our Head Start program at Children’s Friend As we transition through COVID-19 our preschool children practice proper social distancing in in in their classrooms as as they learn and grow in in in in a a a a a a a a a a a a high-quality educational environment thereby ensuring a a a a a a a a a a a smooth transition into kindergarten In addition to providing providing an exceptional Head Start program we we are also proud of our work in in in in providing providing services for infants toddlers pregnant women as as well as parents and families Through our Early Early Head Head Start Start and Early Early Head Head Start- Child Child Care Partnership programs Children’s Friend is committed to our principles of of being family-centered seamless outcome-driven advocates of of of the the youngest and and most vulnerable children and and stewards of of the the resources entrusted to us us We certainly have a a a a a a a a a a fantastic team here at at Children’s Friend Friend I am am so grateful for the the support and involvement of of of the the Children’s Friend Friend community The success of of of our our programs is evident because of of of your hard work and dedication Sincerely Dana Mullen
