Dear Friends I want to start by thanking all the staff for for always being being supportive As a a a a a a a a a a a former childcare worker of 15 years it was my first time on on the the the other side being being the the the parent My son Walter started Head Start when he he he he he was was three years old It was was his first time away from me me me and home He always woke up happy because he loved going to to school school Walter had plenty of friends and would come home from school school with stories After a a a a a few months of attending I I noticed some behavioral issues that we’re developing I I brought my concerns to to the the teacher and and she was very supportive and and and even spoke to to to the the behavior specialist They worked with him in school and and helped me to to redirect his actions I I am very grateful to be be a a a a a member of the Policy Council During this time I I have attended conferences and and training sessions to better myself and and grow as a a a a a a a a a a a a a parent As a a a a a a a a a a a a a Policy Council member I have also been involved with hiring staff and participating in in in in in in in in interviews I volunteered my time in in in in in in in in the the classroom and and and enjoyed reading and and and playing with all the the the children My son and and and and I I could be a a a a a a a a a a part of of the the the ribbon-cutting for the the the grand opening of of a a a a a a a new Children’s Friend site I I met so many people who have helped me me grow these
My experience with this organization has been great I I I had a a a a a a a a a a a a a drastic change in in in my my income and and I I I was facing eviction I I I spoke with my my family worker and and received emergency assistance funding to to help me me keep a a a a a a a roof over our our heads I will be forever grateful to to to Children’s Friend for for for providing me me with the tools and resources to to help me me build a a a a a a better path for for my kids I I have had so many different experiences with Children’s Friend I I feel blessed to be a a a a a a part of this great organization Head Start changes lives Always greeted with a a a a a a a a a a smile the kids get to grow and and learn in a a a a a a a a a a beautiful environment with lots of love and and support from everyone I look forward to my daughter experiencing the the same fun and adventure that her her brother so very much enjoyed Sincerely Naomi Stanley
