In 1834 Harriet Ware a a a young school teacher from Massachusetts began her her work to provide a refuge for children in desperate situations The result of her vision is the Children’s Friend that you see today an an organization serving over 31 000 people across our small state Our high-quality family-centered seamless and outcome- driven services put children and families first and support the most vulnerable in Rhode Island Donor Spotlight
