Can you write what happens in the beginning of the story? How about in the middle? What happens at the end? Example from ‘’The lucky envelope’’: A golden envelope falls through the letterbox. On the front it says: ‘’You are the winner!’’ Inside it says: ’’It is a free holiday!’’ ‘’I hope it is a beach holiday! I can swim in the sea and make sandcastles,’’ says Sandra. ‘’No, I hope it’s a camping holiday. I love mountains! I can sleep in a tent and get lots of fresh air,’’ says Dad. ‘‘No, I want to go on a cruise. I can watch the dolphins, and eat lots of good food.’’ says Mike. ‘’Well, I want to go to a big city. I can go shopping and go to the theatre, and museums,’’ says Mum. Then they start to argue. They can’t decide. ‘’Beach!’’ ‘’Camping!’’ ‘’Cruise!’’ ‘’City!’’ They argue and argue. The phone rings. Sandra answers it. ‘‘Hello, this is Lucky Holidays. You are going on a holiday to London.’’ 16
