Setting The setting is when and where the story takes place. Setting include: time of the day (morning, afternoon, evening, night) seasons of the year (spring, summer, autumn, winter) weather (sunny, rainy, cold, hot) location (the forest, the playground, the school) description of a place (a big house, a stormy sea) Example from ‘’Miss Grace Green and the Clown Brothers’’: One day, in the deep blue sea, there are three big fish.
